Are your parts made in the U.S.A.?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, there are no more than a handful of suspension, steering, or chassis parts made in the United States for any 1950's, 1960's, or 1970's classic cars, muscle cars, or pickups today. Even though we buy from virtually every major U.S. manufacturer, there is no assurance that those products are made in the U.S.A.

Question 2

If the products are not made in the U.S.A., how do they compare to the original equipment parts?

Accepted Answer

Actually, there have been a lot of advances in steel grading and hardness, not to mention friction advancement and all of our products either meet or exceed original O.E.M. specifications. We will not purchase any products that do not meet all government standards.

Question 3

What brand(s) do you carry?

Accepted Answer

In order to make up the over 200 different kits we sell, we must purchase from just about every supplier including, but not limited to, the most well-known names in suspension parts.

Question 4

Do you carry O.E.M. parts?

Accepted Answer

Believe it or not, if a product has been sitting on the shelf for more than a couple of years, we prefer not to carry it for obvious reasons; dust, rust, and dried up rubber parts are not a good factor for parts that you must trust your life to.

Question 5

Why do you not ship outside of the United States?

Accepted Answer

Aside from the major issues of customs clearance, product loss, special packaging, handling and shipping charges, as we all know the most expensive part of any business is labor. Paperwork for international shipments is extensive and we just do not have the manpower to be able to afford such luxuries. We would love to ship internationally, but until someone can come up with an easier way, we will not be shipping outside of the 50 United States.

Do you guarantee the fit and compatibility of the parts you sell?

After being in the restoration business for over 30 years, we know that round holes can become oblong, old parts can become eroded, and people sometimes have abused the chassis, steering, and suspension systems far beyond having a nice, smooth, easy fit. There are times when your parts will need to be press fitted as they were from the factory...just about any parts store can do that for you if that needs to be done. If you have used a sledgehammer to drive our new parts into place, then that surely does not make our parts any lesser quality! Yes, they will fit and sometimes they may be tight and sometimes you may even have to take an edge off. Being in the professional restoration business for as long as we have, we know that just comes with restoring cars!
